I’m a fan of puns, in case you couldn’t tell from the title.
I think puns are one of the best ways to get a chuckle out of myself (yes, I make myself laugh sometimes–a skill every individual could benefit from). And damn, was it necessary yesterday.
See, I was having a rough night after a stressful day–I’m sure you can relate. So, even though I wasted most of my day, I still figured I had enough time to treat myself before bedtime. I’m on a health kick though, so I didn’t want to reach for my Ben and Jerry’s (my day wasn’t that bad), so I created an amazing substitute!
After I made my treat, I settled down to some Parks and Rec, and for those of you who know me, I’m OBSESSED with Tom Haverford and his shenannigans…so all in all, my night ended on a high note.

- 2 handfuls of strawberries & mangos each (frozen)
- 1 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp. flax&chia seed mix
- ½ cup almond milk
- ¼ cup coconut water
- ½-1 banana
- Blend until thick but smooth (more liquid may be needed to assist blending, but not too much unless you want a smoothie)
- Freeze 30 min.
