Fugue

Hey everyone! So, as a lot of you know I spent my gap year writing a book called “Fugue.” I’m in the process of sending it out to agents, but I decided to put it online to gather views to boost my credibility and give me a better shot at getting published. I will be posting chapters that are around 2k words every Monday and Thursday, which equates to around 30 minutes of reading a week.
If you’ve been curious at all about this infamous book I’ve been writing forever and ever and ever that no one has ever seen, here’s your shot.
It would mean a lot to me, since I really want this thing to be published traditionally and on shelves in your local book store at some point. Grammatically, I think my writing is decent, but obviously I am no editor. Also, feel free (only if you want) to send me feedback. If you have any questions about the plot, if there is anything I didn’t explain, or if something makes zero sense, you can send me a message.
This is actually a scary thing for me to do…letting this baby out from my hands and into yours, so to speak. It’s taken me a long time to do this, but a few weeks ago at a creative writing retreat, the topic was on bad writing, and it inspired me to do exactly this. A lot of times I’ve said, “I can’t share this with anyone…it’s so awful and bad,” but what I meant was that I knew I could do better. I still can do better. This can be polished and trimmed, but I won’t be able to do that if I am my only (and worst) critic.
Anyway, my spiel is done. Get reading if you wish.
xoxo, Stacey
